ROTORUA.
A most enjoyable bridge party was given on Friday evening by the Misses Nancy and Verena Holland at their home in Carnot Street. Attractive floral decorations in the bridge and billiard rooms were carried out with foliage and autumn leaves. Miss Nancy Holland wore a frock of pale blue moire taffeta, with velvet coatee, and Miss Verena Holland was in cameo pink soft satin, with black chiffon velvet coatee. Progressive bridge was played, the winners being Miss Vera Griffiths, first prize, and Mrs. Russell Gardner, consolation prize. Among those present were: —Mrs. Russell Gardner, Mrs. J. Speer, Miss Margaret McKenzie, Miss Marie Dannefaerd, Miss H. Dannefaerd, Miss Vera Griffiths, Miss Doria Griffiths, Miss Muriel Coonqy, Miss H. Hillcote and Miss Jean Pearce.
Mr. and Mrs. H. Dannefaerd and their three children, of Morrinsville, who have been spending a holiday in Te Poi and Rotorua, have returned to their home.
