Mr. 0. W. Puttman, representative of the New Zealand Shipping Company at Adelaide, will return to Australia by tha Niagara to-day. Ho is accompanied by Mrs. Puttman.
'Mr. A. M. Pavitt, of Takapuna, has been appointed to the administrative staff of the Reparations Estates in Western Samoa. He will leave Wellington for Apia by the Maui Pomare next Tuesday.
Mr. W. G. Wohlmnnn, Commissioner of Police, who arrived in Auckland on Saturday, will leave for Whaqgarei by the express this morning. He is expected to return to- Auckland- at. the end oIE the week. '
Mr. Arthur E. Moore, manager of tho Yorkshire Insurance Company, Ltd., in Auckland, left last evening for Wellington, where fie will join the Makura, en route to Tahiti on holiday.. He was accompanied by Mrs. .Moore.
Mr. A. H. Sinel, accompanied by Mrg< Sinel and family, left for Wellington yesterday by the motor-liner Rangitikk.to tako up the position of traffic manager in the Dominion for the New. Zealand Shipping Company and manager of the Welli ington branch.
Mr. Hal G. Evarts, of Los Angeles, a well-known writer Of adventure stories, is a through passenger to Sydney by the Niagara with his yciung son. Mr. Evarts expects to take a more extended holiday, later in Australia, New Zealand and tho Pacific Islands with Mrs. Evarts. ' _ - -
Mr. Hugo Anson, this year's examiner in Australia for the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music, London, is a through passenger by the Niagara for Sydney. Mr. Anson, who is a son of Dr. G. F. Anson, of Wellington, holds the degrees of M.A. and Mus. Bac. of Cambridge. He is professor of composition at the Royal College of Music and has a number of published works to his credit. His last'' visit to New Zealand was in 1929, when he conducted soma examinations on behalf of the board.
