ORDEAL IN THE BUSH.
MAN LOST FOR THREE DAYS.
SET OUT TO LOOK FOR CATTLE. [from our own correspondent.] HAWERA, Monday. After being lost for three days in heavy bush near the Patea River Mr.' I. L. Harris, of Mokoia, reached a settler's house in a state of collapse. Mr. Harris, who came from England about four years ago, set out on Monday from Hurleyville to search for cattle on the fringe of the bush but lost his way. Being without food he had a most unenviable experience. After wandering in broken, unfamiliar country, he eventually reached Mr. R. Caldwell's, property at Shakamara, in a state of collapse, but revived with careful attention. Mr. Harris' absence did not cause alarm at tho camp as it was thought he had gone to a neighbour's place some miles distant.
