HUGE NEW SOUTH WALES SUM

The Slate Premier and Treasurer, 34- r - Stevens, announced that the State deficit for the financial year was £13.253.347. This was £7,333,347 greater than allowed for in tte Premiers' Plan and was £2,503347 in excess of the Treasury officers' estimate announced three days
ago. ~S:r Stanley Argyle, Premier of Victoria. announced thai the Victorian deficit was £1,610,000, and this was the ran allowed in the Premiers' Plan.
A Brisbane states that the Queensland revenue totalled £12.934,112, and the expenditure £15,059,292, leaving a deficit of £2,075.190. The Western Australian deficit for the year is £1,557.895, being £2105 less than the amount allowed for in the Premiers' Plan.
It is expected that the Tasmantan deficit will be about £250,00(3.
