HORROR OF MICROPHONE.
GOVERNOR'S ADMISSION. " If ther© is one invention more than any other of which I have a horror it is the microphone," said the GovernorGeneral, Lord Bledisloe, when replying to the welcome at Morrinsville on Saturday. " When I see it hanging before me my thoughts flit away." The remark was apropos a statement by the Mayor of Morrinsville, Mr. W. T. Osborne, that, while some residents of the district had had the privilege of hearing His Excellency speak in person, others had heard him only over the air.
