UPSETTING A THEORY.
OF TWIN GIRLS
Two sisters in London reject tho theory that twins have twin minds. They are the Peppin twins, Geraldine and Mary, aged 19£, who played piano duets at the Grotrin Hall, on May 25.
The writer spoke with one of the sisters next day. It may have been Geraldine or Mary, he could not distinguish, and whichever it was she would not enlighten the interviewer.
"Although wo look exactly 'alike," Geraldine (or Mary) said, " wo differ in many ways. Even our piano-playing differs. Wo do not think alike in many things, although we always dress in precisely similar clothes. Even in sport wo have varying grades of skill. There is none of that close harmony of thought which some people ascribe to twins. " Our playing as one mind is really a matter of training, and not because wo are more attuned than most people who work together. Any two people who practice together sufficiently long can play ' as one mind.'
"-We were born at Marston Magna, Somerset, but have lived in London for more than five years. We began to study the piano seriously about four "or five-years ago. -
