LIVING IN A GARAGE.
CHAUFFEUR IN THE HOUSE. A rate-collector who called at Mrs. Bartlett's home, London, lately found her living in the garage and her chauffeur liviing in the house. This was revealed when Mrs. BartLttt was summoned for not paying rates and an electric light bill. Mrs. Bartlett explained that she had recently got into financial difficulty. As she was unable to pay tli3 chauffeur his wages she arranged with him to have the use of the house instead. She moved into tho garage. She said she was now going to live with her charwoman. An order for payment of rates and the electric light bill was, made against Mrs. BartJetfc.
