PAKURANGA HUNT.

MEET AT PUHINUI

Tho Pakuranga Hunt Club met yesterday at Puhmui, on tho property of Mr. W. McLaughlin, a fair number of riders being present. Tho meet was originally arranged to take place at Opaheke, but in view of the unfavourable weather, Mrs. McLaughlin invited tho hunt to Puhinui. After tho chase tho members wero entertained at tho homestead by Mr. and Mrs. McTjaughlm. Three hares were put up, and they took the hounds for fairly good runs, all *ho sport taking place on the one property. Bellingham, on Tomboy; and Mr. George Why!lie, on Marquis. Lady riders included Mrs. McLaughlin, on a bay; Mrs. A. O. Quart ley on Gay Laddie; Mrs. P. H. Smith, on Molly: Mrs. M. A party followed the hunt on foot, a good view being obtained from tho summit of the hill behind the homestead. Among tho spectators wero Lieutenant J. C. ihlworlliy and Mrs. G. C.
