ELLERSLIE TRAINING.

SOLID WORK BY JUMPERS.

CLAREMORE AND TOWN BEAUTY.

BILLY BOY LOOKING WELL. BY ARCHER. -The tracks ivere heavy at Ellerslie yesterday and comparatively, little fast work wan attempted, most of tlio horses being restricted to useful pricing on' the sand. Tho No. 3 grass wob available for galloping, but tho horses to uso it were not asked for their best, although the jumpers Claremore, Town Beauty and Billy Boy all worked soundly.

On the No. 3 grass Marching Song (Ryan). On Approval (L. Dulieu) and Hawthorn (Buchanan) ran four furlongs very comfortably in 58 2-ss. Marching Sons and Hawthorn continue to do well, and have both been working very satisfactorily. Good Idea (Mcßae) and Neil (light boy) were associated over a round in 1.57 1-5. Tliey ran tho last three furlongs in 46 3-5s and Good Idea was going very easily at the finish. Good Idea is steadily improving. and Neil is also progressing. Neil should bo a better horse at Trentham than ho was at tho Great Northern Meeting. Kiltowyn (Wiggins) sprinted four furlongs in 56 l-ss. Ho vas easing up at the finish, and would have had no difficulty in improving on tho time recorded. Kiltowyn will bo ready to race early in tho new season.

Claremoro (L. Dulieu) and Town Beauty (E. Manson) covered a round and threo furlongs in 2.3-1, running tho first round in 1-51 1-5 and the last three furlongs in 42 4-ss. Claremoro worked well, and Town Beauty also accomplished the task very satisfactorily. These horses are booked to raco at Trentharr. next month, and both should be in excellent .condition if all goes well with them from now on. Billy Boy (Ludlow) encompassed a round in 1.50 2-5, running the" last sis furlongs in 1.25. Billy Boy is looking and working well, and should be very fit if required to race at Trentham.

On the sand Corinax did strong work over a couple of rounds. Corinax is thriving splendidly, and should be in fine trim for the spring campaign. Ho is to race at the Pakuranga Hunt Meeting in August. Another to do useful work on the sand was Croupier, who ia looking a picture. Croupier has developed into a very strong horse, and he lias done so well lately that lro is expected to show an early return to form when ho resumes racing. Others to perform serviceable tasks included Sunny Sky and Master Lu. Sunny Sky is thriving splendidly, and should be even belter next season than previously. It is probable that A. D. Adams will leave for Sydney "with her 011 July 22.
