DEATH OF SWIMMER.
NORTH SHORE CLUB'S LOSS. The death of T. Lowe, a popular Auckland swimmer, occurred o n Monday evening, following an attack of double pneumonia. A breaststroko exponent, Lowe represented Auckland in the intermediate event at the national championship meeting of 1927, and in the senior event, and also at water polo at the meeting of 1931. He was the Auckland 220 yards champion in 1930. His interest was not confined to raring. For (lie last two years he had been honorary secretary of tho Nort.li Shore Club as well as being the club's delegate to the Auckland Centre of the New Zealand Amateur Swimming Association. North Shore is looked upon as tho leading club in Auckland, and the proud position it holds can be attributed to a very great extent- to Lowe's enthusiasm for its welfare.
Apart from swimming Lowe took an active interest in cricket and football, having been a member of the North Shore Cricket Club atid the North Shore Association Football Club*
