FOUND DEAD IN CREEK.
RESIDENT OF GREY LYNN. ADJOURNMENT OF INQUEST. An inquest concerning the death oi Eugene Cuthbert Maguire, aged 50. who was found dead in Cox's Creek, just above the bridge in West End Road, shortly before noon on Tuesday, was opened before Mr. F. K. II: int. S.M.. coroner. Evidence was given that deceased, who vras a painter and paperhanger, had been v-orknv,: for his' brother-in-law at a house in Wilton Street. Grey Lynn. When he left his home at 7, Stanmorc Road, Grey J.vnn, ar o a.m. on Tuesday he was in h:.s usual C'X'd health and spirits. He was known to have \i si ted the house in Wilton Street as he was the only person with keys to the building, and the keys were found in the door locks. He was of a cheerful disposition and had never given any indication of intention to commit suicide. His home life was happy and he was not financially embarrassed. He could not swim. There were no marks of violence on the body and no suspicious circumstances. The inquest was adjourned sine die to enable the police to make further inquiries.
