MANUKAU AMATEUR CLUB. Two rond races were decided by the Munuknu Amateur Cycling Club on Saturday over its course at Avondale South, when light rain made conditions unfavourable for the competitors. The junior event over four laps. 10 miles, attracted a field of nine. The results were:— J. Gillbanks (9m), 35m 525, 1; E. R. Hansen (3m), 31m Is, 2; S. J. Ward (2in). 30m 2s, 3: R. Campbell (2m), 30m Bs, 4. E. W. Bates, ecr, registered fastest time in 29 m J 3s. Nineteen riders competed in the senior race of 15 miles. Kain fell throughout the progress of the event. The race was a triumph for a new rider, F. R. Markham. He took the lead from Thackwell on tho second lap and from then on continued ulone to finish an easy winner. The placed seniors were:—F. R. Dwight, scr, by a wheel to gain fastest time in 43m lis. AUCKLAND CLUB. Ideal racing conditions prevailed for the Auckland Cycle Club's 25-miles handicap at Taninki on Saturday afternoon. Five and a-half lap 3 of the usual circuit had to bo negotiated. The placed riders were:—S. Kara, sm, 73m 28s. 1: W. Archer, 4m 15s. 2; C. Rao, Cm 15s. 3: S. Litchfield. 2m. 4. Fastest time was registered by Litchfield (2m), in 71ra 30s. AUCKLAND AMATEUR CLUB. The Auckland Amateur Cycling Club conducted an 18-miles handicap on Saturday over two Inps of tho larso circuit and straight at To Atatu. Tho weather was showery just about starting time, but in spite of this a record field for the club of 25 starters competed. Following were the results:—R Linn (11m 30s). 57m 335. 1: W.
