STUDY OF ARCHITECTURE.
SUCCESS IN ENGLAND. AUCKLAND SCHOOL STUDENT. News of tho continued success of Mr. Arthur Salmond, of Dunedin. who left for England last September under tho first travelling scholarship granted to the school of architecture at Auckland University College, has been received by the college. The information is to the effect that Mr. Salmond is now at the Architectural Association School in London, one of the leading schools of architecture in England. For the chief design lust term at the atelier he obtained a first mention, tho judge, Mr. Arthur Davies, stating that it was the best of the 18 designs. Only two obtained a first mention.
It is felt that the Auckland training thus compares very favourably with tho work at the leading universities of Great Britain. Mr. Salmond had been studying at Auckland University College for over four years and left with the degree oT Bachelor of Architecture.
