WEEK-END WEATHER.
CONDITIONS IN THE SOUTH-
Auckland.—Fine weather and du'J, cloudy conditions on Saturday, when th& wind was a light easterly, were followed by light rain during tho night. Yesterday morning tho wind changed to th® south-west, and afterward the weather was squally and showery. After falling sinca mid-dav on Saturday the barometer registered 29.60 in. yesterday afternoon, but it rose slightly during the evening, and registered 29.65 in. at midnight.
Wellington.—After a beautifully lino day on Saturday rain fell in Wellington yesterday. The weather• cleared toward evening. There was a light wind from the north. Christchurch. —Tho weather during t h<> week-end was unpleasant. Saturday morning was showery and tho afternoon was dull, with a cold north-east wind. Tho weather yesterday was showery, but tho wind was not so keen. Tho barometer last evening was falling, the reading being 29.40 in. Durtedin.—A fresh north-east breeze and intermittent sunshine prevailed on Saturday. The barometer was steady at 29.90 in. Yesterday tho weather was dull and overcast, with a strong uorth-eas wind. The barometer was falling rapidly„ tho reading last evening beiug 29.35 m.
