HEAVY RAILWAY TRAFFIC.
MORE CARS ON LIMITED.
WEEK-END VISITORS RETURN. Owing to the numbers of visitors to Auckland for the King's Birthday and tha week-end, including those to the Auckland Racing Club's winter meeting at Ellerslie, the volume of passenger traffic on trains leaving Auckland yesterday was exceptionally large. Three additional carriages "were placed on the limited express which left for Wellington last evening, the number of passengers being in the vicinity of 359. The train consisted of three sleeping cars, three first-class and four second-class carriages. Extremely large numbers of platform tickets- also were sold last evening, and the railway station presented an animated appearance. A similar position existed in regard to other trains, the express to Hamilton consisting of 12 carriages, all well filled.
