FIRE BRIGADES' CONTEST.
ONEHUNGA WINS SHIELD. The annual competition for the Auckland Suburban Firo Brigades' Association Shield held on the Onehunga recreation reserve was won by the Onehunga brigade. Following are the results:—
Three men draw for places, screw couplings.—Onehunga, 1; Ellerslie, 2; Papatoetoe, 3.
Instantaneous Couplings.—Onehunga, 1; Mount Roskill, 2; Mount Albert and Howick, 3.
Two Men, wet, screw couplings.—Ellerslio, 1; Onehunga, 2; Mount Eden, 3. Instantaneous Couplings.—Mount Edon, 1; Mount Roskill, 2; Howick, 3. Three Men Disabled, Screw Couplings.— •Onehunga and Ellerslio, 1; Papatoetoe, 3. Instantaneous Couplings.—Onehunga, 1; Mount Roskill, 2; Mount Eden, 3. Points for Shield, Screw Couplings.—Onehunga, 1; Ellerslie, 2; Papatoetoo, 3. Instantaneous Couplings.—Mount Roakill, 1; Onehunga, 2; Mount Eden, 3; Howick, 4. Onehunga won the shield on aggregate points.
