TECHNICAL FORGERY.
" VERY FOOLISH ACT." "You were very foolish to do what you did, said Mr. Justice Hcrdman when William Lemon, a half-caste Maori, appeared in the Supreme Court yesterday for sentence for forging a motor-driver's licence. The police reported well about him, continued His Honor. He had never been convicted before, and tho police said he, was hard working and industrious, and gave him an excellent character. "I do not know why you did this stupid thing, and altered this driver's licence," he added. "Technically, you have committed the. crime of forgery." Ilih Honour ordered Lemon to come up for sentence if called upon, saying that there was apparently no need to let him out on probation.;
