FOOTBALLERS INJURED.
NO SERIOUS CASES. RESULT OF PRACTICE GAMES. Rugby football practices on Saturday afternoon wer® responsible for several players being taken by the St. John Ambulance to the Auckland Hospital with head and other injuries, none being serious. Several minor cases were dealt with on the grounds by the ambulance brigade.
While playing for Technical Old Boys at Gribble-Hirst Park, C. Satherlev, aged 21, a well-known footballer, of 235. Ponsonhv L'oad, received injuries to the knee. J. Straehan, aged 21, who was playing in tho same match, also received injuries to tho knee.
Concussion was received by ,T. Simpson, aged 21, of Kohimarama, and also by Eric Arthur Blunt, aged 24, of 62, Symonds Street. Walter Stevens, aged 20, of 387, Manukuu Tvoad, Epsom, suffered concussion and injury to the left leg. Another well known player, D. Milliken, playing in a friendly game for University, a severe cut. on the chin, which required several stitches.
