IF YOU ARE PALE.
JUST ENOUGHi If you are too pale or your skin is inclined to be sallow, you can greatly improve it by employing a good rouge, but if you just lay it on thickly, with no regard to contour or natural shading, it will look horrible. The same applies to lipstick; you want just enough to warm and soften tho appearance of the lips. Great dabs of sealing-wax red are most unalluring. One other word about make-up! If you aro feeling and looking ill, do please bo very sparing with ,your rouge. As a matter of fact, in these conditions, rouge really makes you look worse; it is better to uso a little pink powder, and a very palo shade of rose lipstick, if you have to go out, for bright shades of red only make your skin look much more sallow, and aiso accentuato the shadows under your eyes. So make moderation your watch-word in tho matter of cosmetics, and you will not go far wrong.
