GILBERT AND SULLIVAN.
In response to numerous requests, the J.C. Williamson Opera Company will play a, return season in Auckland, commencing on Tuesday, April 26. The repertoire will include " Dorothy," an evergreen favourite, which contains some very popular music. There arc such lilting .songs as "Be Wise in Time," " You Swear to be Good and True," " I Stand at Your Threshhold A-sighing " and tho magnificent " Hunting Song." "Dorothy" will bo followed by " Ruddigore," or " Tho Witch's Curse," a delightful parody on the old-tiuio melodrama; and (lie well-known " lolantho," " Yeomen of tho Guard," "Tho Mikado" and " Patience." As a farewell performance, " Tho Gondoliers " will bo presented again. Tho whole cast of principals, chorus, ballet, and orchestra, who were so popular in their last season, will again interpret these famous operas. Box plans will open next Thursday.
