MAN DIES FROM INJURIES. BURIED IN EXCAVATION. [BY TELEGRAPH. PRF-SS ASSOCIATION.] WELLINGTON, Friday. As the result o£ injuries received when he was caught under a fall of earth and rock at his home, iSeatoun Road, yesterday, Mr. Olaf Hansen, taxi driver, died in Wellington Hopital shortly before b p.m.
Mr. Hansen was engaged in excavating a bank when some overhanging rock gave way. A quantity came down on him, burying him up to the waist. A neighbour who saw the occurrence rushed to his aid and helped him out. He was conveyed to hospital in great pain and died about an hour after being admitted.
