Notwithstanding the early date of Easter, England experienced one of the sunniest Good Fridays in the present tentuiy, and the fine weather continues today. There was no rain anywhere in England yesterday, and although the wind was somewhat cold, more- than 10 hours of sunshine were recorded at most places in the country. Great crowds are visiting all the usual centres, and one of the most popular holiday innovations is the " Hikers' Mystery Express," by which Great Western trains, which had to be duplicated, took walking enthusiasts to unknown destinations. These proved to bo in lovely country on the borders of Berkshire and Oxfordshire. Having provided a route for tha walk, the railway company brought- tha hikers back from another centre at night.
