ONE HUNG A POLICE COURT.
FIGHTING AND MISCHIEF. Charges of fighting and mischief were preferred against four young men, Leslie Quinn, (Jeorge Heaps, Alexander Bankier and Charles Melrose, and a Maori woman. Ilia Ilau, in tho Onebunga Police Court vesierdav rnornina.
Sergeant S. A. Brown said the accused had been lighting in Queen Street, Onebunga, near the police station about 11.30 p.m. on Saturday. They damaged a shop window during llio brawl. Fines of £1 each were imposed on the men, who were also ordered to pay 2s 6d each damages. The Maori woman was fined £l. Quinn was fined an additional 5s for drunkenness.
Sentence of one month's imprisonment was passed on Sydney W. Morris for being idle and disorderly.
