POST OFFICE ENTERED.
REMOVAL OF THE SAFE. SUM OF £lO STOLEN. [FROXt OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT.] ■\VHAXGAREI. Saturday. During ilio early hours of yesterday morning the post office at Kiripaka, about 11 miles from Whangarei, was broken into ami the safe, containing about £lO, was removed. Papers in the safe -were burned. The importance of the papers is not, at present known. Entrance to the post office was gained by forcing the front door, and tlio safe, a small one, was removed to a vacant area of ground near by, and then forced open. The post offico is in the same building as Mr. K. Erccg's general store, although there is no one at tho premises at night. Nothing else was disturbed. The robbery was discovered on Friday morning, when Miss R. Tee, who is in charge of the office, found the safe outside.
