; A «' SPARTAN " FARMER. "Spartan" is the only word that describes Mr. 0. Holmes, farmer, of Belfreydon, New South Wales. While lie was ploughing ■recently, a'swingle bar caught his' 'foot and fractured bones near l the ank|e. i ■ ' Mr. Holmes hobbled to his house, dressed himself,in his best clothes, got out liia car, and drove himself to a private hospital. He remained only a day, and then, with his limb in plaster of Pans, drove nonchalantly home again.,
