The weather was fine, but overcast, for the first day of the Wairarapa Racipg Club's Easter Meeting. Occasional light showers foil, but they were not : sufficient to interfere with the condition'of the course, which was in great order. The attendance was poor at the start, but improved before tho second race. .Last year the weather Caused a postponement of tho first day, but tho totalisator investments this year totalled £B7OI, against £11,205 on the second day last year, a decrease of £2504.
