HARBOURMASTER RETIRES.
WELLINGTON TRIBUTE. In the course of his survey of the past V'?ar's port activities, the chairman oi the y» T ellington Harbour Board, ->lr. C. J. 8.Norwood, referred to the retirement of Captain J. E. Dawson from the post of harbourmaster. Captain Dawson s long service, said Mr. Norwood, had always been marked by unexampled loyalty and ability, and it. was with much regret that tli© board had learned of his decision to retire, for health reasons, from the servic# of which he had been an outstanding personality.
