ECONOMICAL GUARDEE.
One of the most boastful men now in London is a young Guards officer whose friends are all being called upon to envy and admire his 42s suit. For 12s he bought a length of tweed in tho sales, and the regimental master-tailor's charge for making it up was 30s. Dandies of the Crimean era must bo turning in their graves, says the writer. Never throw away tho water vegetables have been boiled in. Drink it. It would be butter to throw away the vegetables instead.
