The Tauranga Borough Council, at its Meeting last evening agreed to the request the unemployment committee to grant £SO from the Stewart trust, fund for unemployment relief purposes. Die council decided to support the resolution G f the Feilding Borough Council *j la L in the event of the Main Highways ~ oa rd deciding to continue special grants *o enable counties to make a ncrcentage ' e ' j ate of rates to county ratepayers, the board be requested to make similar grants *° boroughs of under 6000 population. The council considered a request by the Tauranga Electric-Power Board for a reaction in the price of current tor milklng motors and decided that the request Coulcl not be granted.
