SHIPPING MERGER.
LONDON. March 17. ■Meetings of the Royal Mail Steam Packet Company's debenture stock holders and the White Star Company's preference stock holders, and also of tho Royal Mail Company's secured and unsecured creditors, have approved of tho scheme for combining tho Whilo Star and Shaw, Savill and Albion lines. The meetings also approved of paying tho outstanding amount of the purchase money for tho Commonwealth Lino steamers, according to tho recommendations of the Royal Mail Company's voting trustees.
