LOCAL BODY LOANS.
SANCTION FOR £250,816. RENEWALS AMOUNT TO £181,400. [BY TELEGKAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] WELLINGTON. Friday. At a meeting of the Local Government Loans Board 44 applications for loans totalling £265,906 were dealt with. Loans amounting to £250,816 were sanctioned, including £181,400 for renewals, £51,975 for new loans, £10,500 for loans for restoration of earthquake damage, £4500 for unemployment, and £2441, unexpended balance, of previous loans, was authorised to be used for other purposes. The balance of £15,090 of tho amounts submitted was either declined or referred back to tho local authorities concerned for further consideration.
