WHY A MAN MARRIED. A man who stated that he married ba cause he had no work and wanted some one to keep him was said by Judgi Woodcock at the Leeds County Court lately to have found a new form of em ployment. _ The case was one in which A. Arhck was sued on a judgment summons for i debt of £64. He said that his wife haj no money of her own, but received ai allowance from her own married children The Judge: Does your wife pay vol anything for having married her! (Laughter.) _, . , Arlick: She gives me 2s od a week to C 1 The^Judge: I think you ought to forj go the cigarettes and pay 2s 6d towan this dsbt. „ . Later, his Honor observed: A 1 •parently he has got a job as a husbai# and gets 2s 6d a week. That is the onlj salary lie gets for being her husband. An order for payment of one shilliq a month was made.
