WEDDING.

ROBERTS—MURRAY. A pretty evening wedding was celerated on Wednesday at the Methodist Church, DevSnport, when Joyce Maizie, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Murray, was married to Arthur, eldest son of Mrs. C. Roberts, of Devonport. The church was decorated by friends of the bride. The Rev. J. H. Haslam performed the ceremony and Mr. L. Elliott was the organist. The service was fully choral. The bride was escorted by her father, and was charmingly frocked in a close-fitting gown of ivory soft satin, with long train trimmed with a sfiirred bow, and orange blossoms. Her veil, of Brussels net, was arranged in cap fashion, worn off the forehead and caught with clusters of orange blossoms. She carried a sheath of yellow dahlias and maidenhair fern. Mrs. R. M. Grierson, as matron of honour, wore a pretty frock of golden sun glow lace, with full side panels of tulle and a large shady felt hat trimmed with velvet loops. Her mittens were to tone and her bouquet was of yellow dahlias and maidenhair fern. The two bridesmaids, Miss Phyllis (Nottingham and Miss Mavis Waterhouse, wore princess frocks of the same lace, with frilled tulle shoulder capes, the skirts inset with tulle godets. Yellow felt tricornes were worn and mittens of the same shade. They carried bouquets of yellow flowers. The bridegroom was attended by Mr. T. J. Regan as best man, and Mr. Reg. Grierson and Mr. Stan. Pritchard were groomsmen. A reception at the Cheltenham Kiosk followed. Mrs. Murray received the guests wearing a midnight blue lace frock, with Princess Eugene hat. She carried a scarlet bouquet. Mrs. Roberts wore a floral and black ensemble, with bowler hat to match, and she carried a bouquet of autumn tints. Mrs. W. H. Cole (grandmother of the bride) was in a black and white crepe de chine ensemble. Mr. Stan. Pritchard and Mr. R. Gilbert Simmers contributed items during the evening reception. For travelling the bride wore a becoming suit of Lido blue, with marmot trimmings and smart hat to match.
