GOLF.
PROVINCIAL championship. The Auckland provincial golf cham : pionship will be commenced at tho Titirangi links next Saturday, when the qualifying round of 36 holes will be played. The first 16 will qualify to play off for the championship and the second 16 will rlav for the provincial handicap. The Easter scratch medal and a 36-hole medal handicap will also be played in conjunction with the qualifying round. The tournament will conclude on the following Tuesday, when the finals will be played and also the usual four-ball bogey handicap. Entries for all events will close on Monday. THE HELENSVILLE CLUB. The annual meeting of the Helensville Golf Club was held this week and the following officers were elected:—Patron, Mr. J. A. Wilson; president, Mr. J. K. Stewart; vice-presidents, Messrs. C. G. Sandm and Allen; honorary secretary, Mr. R. Dwerryhouse; honorary treasurer. Mr. C. G. Sandin; honorary auditor, Mr. Brock; club captain, Mr. A. Dodd; greens committee. Messrs. E. Wayte and J.
