OBITUARY.
MISS A. C. PHILLIPS. Tho death has occurred of Miss Amy Constance Phillips, elder daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Horatio Phillips, at her residence, Shelly Beach Road. For some years during the war Miss Phillips was on tho staff of I lie Auckland branch of tho Bank of New Zealand, and later entered business on her own account, retiring three years ago. She is survived by one sister, Miss Gertrude Phillips, and five brothers, Messrs. Walter Phillips, of Wellington, and Percy, Horatio, Kenneth and Roland Phillips, of Auckland. MR. J. G. JONES. [FROM 01)11 OWN CORRESPONDENT. ] HAMILTON, Friday. The death occurred at his residence, Hulcanui Rond, Clandelands, on Wednesday of Mr. John Goodwin Jones at the ago of 72. Born in Wales, deceased after his marriage went to South America, where he. was engaged in cattle breeding and grazing. On the death of his wife 18 years ago ho removed to Queensland. For tho past seven years ho had resided in Clandelands. Mr. Jones leaves a family of five sons and one daughter.
