ACCOUNTANCY STUDENTS.
INCREASE IN NUMBERS.
i SEDDON MEMORIAL COLLEGE.
A greater number of accountancy students is attending the evening classes at the Seddon Memorial Technical College this year than was the case last year. This is attributed to the large measure of success attained by pupils who have studied this subject at the college in the past year or two. A comparison of the number of students attending evening classes of all kinds has not yet been computed, but the numbers enrolled in the day classes are about the same as last year. It has been found in the day school section that a good response has been made to the provision of diploma courses. These courses are for students who have matriculated or secured one of the higher qualifications, and were instituted as a result of the recommendation made to the Government by the special committee that technical schools should cater for more advanced work.
