Sir Walter Nicholsoii, who has been touring New Zealand for a number of weeks, left Wellington for London ou Saturday by the Remuera.

Captain J. S. G. Fraser, who lias been succeeded as second naval..member r.f th 9 Naval Board by Captain Sinclair Thomson, left Wellington by the Eemueia on Saturday for London.
Mr. A. D. Mcintosh, a member of the staff of the. Parliamentary Library, has been awarded a travelling library scholarship by tlie Carnegie Institute. He has been granted a year's leave.

Professor K. Hatakeyania, of the Japanese Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, and Mr. Y. Ono, of the Japanese Veterinary Department, who have been visiting New Zealand to purchase sheep for their Government, left To Kuiti for Wellington last evening. /
