ARCTIC BISHOPRIC.
DIOCESE OF NORTH POLE. ROMAN CATHOLIC APPOINTED. PARIS, Feb. 25. Father Arscne Turcuctil has been appointed Roman Catholic Bishop of the North Pole diocese, which covers nearly 1,000,000 square miles, but has a population of only 8000. Father Turcuctil has been working among the Esquimaux and Hed Indians of Hudson Bay for 30 years.
