CONDITIONS IN THE SOUTH.
Auckland.—Fine weather prevailed yesterday, the wind having moderated and changed to the south. There was very little movement of the barometer, which was steady at midnight at 29.95 m.
Wellington.—A perfect summer day wai experienced. The wind was from tli» north.
Christchurch. —Tho weather was again sunny, with a light north-westcrly brcez* in the morning, increasing in strength as the day advanced. Tho barometer wag rising this evening and registered 29.85 in. Dunedin.—Unsettled weather was ex ~ perienced yesterday, intermittent iaiu falling during the "day. The wind W3S fresh from the south-east. Tho batorricter was rising and in the evening register 29.801 i».
