FROM OTHER DAYS.

SIMPLE STITCHERY

Hero is a charming fancy stitch well worth reviving, which was taken from an example in one of tlie needlework rooms at the Victoria ami Albert Museum.

It can bo used to advantage in a great number of ways. As a joining stitch, where an ugly join in material is to be covered it is particularly good, old scraps of material could be joined to make cushion covors, chair-backs, table-runners, and the like. For children's frocks it is a delightful decoration carried o,ut in coloured wools or washing cotton; in fact there are endless uses to which this stitch can bo put. The diagrams shown here explain quite clearly how tho complete stitch is made up. Two or three colours can be worked in according to your particular requirements.
