Hiring jewellery to wear on great occasions is a new idea among English society girls. They arc not likely, however, *to be as lucky as a recent wellknown bride. She hired a wonderful diamond necklace for her wedding, because she thought her dress needed it. Afterwards, her husband bought it for her to keep.
