One of the amusing minor results of the Buv British cry at Home is tbe rapid spread of English names instead of ]• rench ones over the little dressmaking and millinery shops that used to call themselves " Le Petit Magasin " or " Maison Fifi." " .Joan and Betty," " 11 Joanna," t( April and Saiah Jane appear instead.
