POWERS AT GENEVA.
BASIS FOR DISCUSSIONS
(Rrceiyed February 25, 5.55 p.m.) British Wireless. RUGBY, eb. 24. The chief British delegate, Sir John Simon, at a meeting of the general commission of the Disarmament Conference at Geneva this afternoon urged that the draft convention prepared after five years work by the Preparatory Disarmament Commission be used as the framework for the discussions. The proposal was supported by the representatives of I 1 ranee, America, Germany and Italy. Jho Soviet delegate asked the commission first to vote on its proposal for complete disarmament. The vole will be taken to morrow. ' Greece has approved the disarmament proposals of France.
