EARLY MORNING FIRE.
DWELLING BURNED. ESCAPE OF OCCUPANTS. [ey telegraph.—OWN correspondent.] WHANG AREI, Thursday. At 2.30 o'clock this morning Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Langdon, of Wliau Valley, were awakened by falling plaster from the ceiling of their kitchen. cUpon investigation they discovered the house on fire. Mr. Langdon lifted the three children from their room and returned to find his wife nearly overcome by nnoke, but fortunately all escaped. The house was destroyed. It was owned by Mr. Murdoch Sinclair, and his bungalow wa» burned on the same site some 18 month» a e°-
The furniture was insured with the State Fire Office for £IOO and the house and outbuildings for £625 j-ith' the Prudential Assurance Company. The outbuildings were saved.
