RETAIL DRAPERS' CARNIVAL.

CHAMPIONSHIP SHIELD CONTEST.

Tho tcnin representing George Court and Sons, Limited, with 24 points, won the championship shield, at tbjP annual carnival of tho Retail Drapers and Mercers' Swimming Association in the Tepid Baths last evening. Smith and Caughey, John Court, Limited, and .Milne and Choyce. Limited, all tied for second place, each scoring 1(> points. A number of exceptionally close finishes aroused great excitement. Tho shield winners owe their success chiefly to tlu» fine swimming of \V. Smith and Miss Hampton. Between them they won all the men's and ladies' free style championships.
