SPRINT BY MISS STOCKLEY. RECORD TIME MADE IN SYDNEY. A brilliant ICOyds. sprint was made by Miss Ena Stockley. former New Zealand lady champion, in Sydney last. week. As first girl for Sydney Club in a 500 yds. teams' race championship, Mi.ss Stockley completed (he hundred yards in 645, breaking Miss Jean Cocks' New South Wales record by 4-ss. The watches of six officials agreed upon Miss Stockley's time, but, unfortunately, having been done in a relay race, it cannot bo granted recognition ns a record. Miss Stockley holds the New Zealand standard of 655. In the couise of her kv,im Miss Stock-ley covered 50 yards in 28 l-ss. eclipsing the Australian and New Zealand record of 23 2-ss, held jointly by herself and Miss V. Armstrong. Sydney. The opinion is held in Sydney that in a pool offering better conditions for competitions than the Coogee Aquarium Baths, in which the teams' race was decided.
