PAKURANGA HUNT.

PAST YEAR'S OPERATIONS. INCREASED MEMBERSHIP. The report and balance-sheet of the' Pakuranga Hunt, to be submitted at the annual meeting on March 4, shows an excess of expenditure over income for the year of £77S, muinly attributable to the decreased revenue from the annual race meeting The membership of the hunt has increased, and subscriptions total £312 for the past year, us against £'2Bs for the previous year. A hunt ball was held last season, resulting in u surplus, which has been placed with trustees to enable a farmers' hunt ball to bo held during the ensuing year. The point-to-point races held at East Tnmaki resulted in a profit of £2l. This was dim to the generosity of the farmers of th« district, who undertook to prepare the course for the races, and also rendered much valuable assistance in connection with the various duties ou the day of the point-to-poii»* races. The pack were out on every advertise'' day, and kept up their reputation of showing good sport all thvo'igh the season. There were only two days on which it was too wot for tne field to follow them. Hounds were out on 40 dava and killed 47 harer. There were 15 couples of bounds in kennel, and they and the establishment generally were in first-rate condition.
