In the course of a periodical tour of inspection of the various harbour works, members of the Auckland Harbour Board were invited to inspect the private apiary belonging to the caretaker of the quarries on Rangitoto Island. On the left is a general view of the hives, while on the right the caretakers wife is seen handling the honeycomb.
