Tlie British Wholesale Clothing Mann- 1 lecturers' Federation has adopted a resolution recommending that low-grade woolen and cotton clothing from foreign countries, which, it is understood, is produced tinder wagff conditions much below the English standard, and is also subsidised, shall be prohibited in the interests both of the nation and the workers in the industry. The value of the men's and boys' •nits imported from Poland in October, 1930, was £232. In August, 1931, the was £23,750.
