LATE PAYMENT OF LEVY.
MAGISTRATE IMPOSES FINE. SHAREMILKER'S OBLIGATION. / .. [from our own correspondent.] PUKEKOHE, Wednesday. A share-milker, of Te Kauwhata, Fredcrick Mcintosh, who paid in January his nnemploymont levy which was due in November, was fined £1 and costs, 10s, by Mr. F. H. Levien, S.M., in the Pukekohe Police Court to-day. (Nonstable H. J. Olsen stated that when he interviewed defendant on December 5 about his non-payment of the levy, defendant promised to pay when he received his cheque from the dairy company on December 20, explaining that he did not have the money just then. Ho did not keep this promise, but paid in January.
